Net2 v5.03 Service Release 4 Now Available
The Net2 software has been updated to remove the registration process for Net2 Anywhere. Also updated is the .csv file import/export functionality to accommodate changes with Paxton’s SDK to facilitate Advanced Permissions functionality.
The Net2 Anywhere service is due to be discontinued at the end of 2017. As part of the discontinuation process Paxton have removed the ability to register a Net2 Anywhere site from the Net2 software. The purpose of this is to avoid any new sites registering for a service that has been selected for discontinuation. Existing sites will still be able to use the service until it is switched off in December 2017. This includes all iPhone apps and the Net2Anywhere.com web service.
Alternate methods of connection to a Net2 system are available through 3rd party applications such as TeamViewer, VPN connections using Net2 Client software and many more.
Paxton have also added additional functionality to the SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to utilise advanced permissions within their developed application. As such, Paxton have updated the .csv file import/export to accommodate this change allowing multiple access levels and individual permissions to be allocated to a single user. More information on this will be available via the Paxton support teams.
The new version is available for our registered users from the Software downloads page – http://www.securitydistributors.com.au/documentation/software
